Shiny Toy Guns
Those who know me well realize that
when it comes to music I can be very egotistical about my library and many
times reluctant to listen to other artists that others have recommended. I am glad, however, that I overcame my
selfish arrogant ways in one instance where I decided to give Shiny Toy Guns
a chance thanks to the urging by my peers.
For those of us who play FIFA, we will be able to recognize this band
immediately with lead singer Sisely Treasure.
The hit song You Are the One
(2005) from their debut album, We Are Pilots, appeared in the soundtrack of
FIFA 07. It brings a brilliant blend of
alternative rock and electric pop to and already stacked lineup of songs in
FIFA like always. I would say that their
next hit singles, Major Tom (2009) and Waiting Alone (2012) are my
favorite songs from this group, because it in these two songs that we witness
Treasure’s truly superior voice. I would
say that this group plays like a mix between The Killers and The Sounds, both
great groups in my opinion.
